A HUGE THANK YOU to all the members of The X Band for providing such great dancing music last Saturday at the wedding reception of Megan and Brendan Morris! The crowd totally enjoyed the entire night’s performance, as I’m sure you could tell from where you all were up on the stage. You probably saw things that you’ve never seen before at a wedding (slip-and-sliding in the beer spills on the floor, for example!!! a-hem….). As I mentioned to you when I booked your band, Megan and Brendan would rather have NO band than a mediocre band. You measured up to and easily exeeded all of their expectations, without any doubt, and have shared in creating many wonderful memories of their most special day. Thank you again for a job well-done!

The X Band was great! The song selection is solid and they were able to learn our two requests for Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances at our wedding. They sound great and were really easy to work with. Supplementing the band’s breaks with our ipod playlist was awesome for some of our special requests. Overall, The X Band sounded great and were really great to work with, you can’t go wrong with them.

We could not have been happier with the X Band performance on Saturday night at our son’s wedding. As you know, we were a bit nervous about the band after losing our friend Roger this summer. Well, we think Roger may have been looking over us this weekend – the music was fantastic, and the dance floor was crowded all evening long. The emcee, Matt, was a pro and the introductions were perfect. The lead singer Chris was a blast! Everyone commented on how much fun they were. Lots of requests for band’s name. Thanks for the suggestion to extend play for another half hour – no one wanted to leave even when the band stopped. All in all, a winner! Thank you so much. It was a pleasure working with you. You certainly are the pros who know!

Hi Jon,
I wanted to drop you a short note following up on my wedding from Saturday night. I love music, so from the start of the planning process I knew I wanted a live band to make our wedding a really special event but having never hired one before I was a bit apprehensive about the whole process. I can’t over emphasize how pleased I was with how everything turned out. It was better than I could have ever imagined. The nine-piece band that you suggested was perfect and I sincerely appreciate your honesty when I was considering adding additional horns to the group.
The band put on an incredible show and the dance floor was full all evening. All night long as I moved from table to table I heard comments on how amazing The X were. The best part is the comments came from everyone ranging from Jenn’s grandparents down to the 20 something year old crowd of friends, showing the band not only sounded great but did a wonderful job with music selection as well. The vocals and music were wonderful, as was the job done with emcee duties, specifically working around the delay with our wedding cake.
I probably could have summed this all up in a one word email: “…Wow…” but I really wanted you to know what a great experience it was for us and how much everyone at the wedding enjoyed the performance. I would strongly recommend working with both you and The X to anyone who had interest in live music for an event, especially in the case of someone inexperienced in these things as I was, looking for someone in whom they could place their trust. I am still amazed that I was able to get such a great band for such a reasonable price. Thanks for helping us pull off the wedding of our dreams!
